It is a non-profit organization approved by Beijing Municipal Government, and is mainly engaged in industrialization and commercialization of the scientific and technological achievements, by trading of the ownership and intellectual property rights of high-tech enterprises, government purchases, public bidding of high-tech projects, information exchange and other services. As a member of the organization, BJCVC has the right to be the seller, buyer, self-supporting dealer and trustee. ˇ°CentekVenture2000ˇ±Business Plan Competition was organized by Centek, Mckinsey & Company (China), Beijing Zhongguancun Technology Committee and Torch High-Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology. , and successfully closed on November 14, 2000, after its five-month operation. It is so far the biggest business plan competition in China - the most numbers of participants and the most numbers of business plans received. BJCVC, as a core member of the operation team, involved in the whole management and operation procedure of the competition. The main achievements obtained are (1) more than 7000 people registered for participation; (2) more than 900 business plans received; (3) 10 venture teams won the Great Awards of the Competition; (4) 5 venture teams got venture capital investment for their start-ups; and (5) more than 10 teams were chosen as candidates enterprises for the Centek Incubation Center.
